Blue Velvet

It's funny how one item can make or break a look. I fell in love with these Blue Velvet Booties when I saw them on Polyvore. There were tons of style ideas. There are still many weeks of winter ahead of us but these booties will be just as stylish on those brisk early Spring Days.

For this particular look, I wanted something more 'everyday'. Paired with a chunky winter sweater and jeans, this look can easily be turned into something fabulous rather than ordinary with some select jewelry pieces.

The mark Weave It To Me Necklace is such a bold statement. It was challenging at first to style, but then I began to fall in love with the intricately woven colors. It completes this look and adds a bit of 'Spring' to it while still keeping the whole ensemble relevant.

Happy Monday everyone! Time to get back to work.

February Air

Even though it is still January, I can already feel February taking over my senses.

I love prepping for Valentine's Day. The styles are romantic, chic, warm and beautiful. There are so many looks I cannot wait to share with you all. First though, let's talk about this Day-to-Night ensemble I have created.

A simple outfit can be turned into something a bit more stylish if you pair it with the right shoes. For the day look, I chose the new mark Gold Accent Flats. They are a beautiful peachy salmon. Gold accents are big this season, and it is most likely that they will be making their way through to the Spring 2014 look-book. I love the design at the tip and the gold studs by the heel. It gives this look the right amount of chic to balance it all out.

The night look is super flirty and feminine. It isn't often we get to wear black lace and sheer paneling. I kept with the trend and added a lacy purse and gold accessories. Perfect for a romantic night out.

Let's kick the week off on a fierce note. I'm stocking up on Spring essentials because I've come to resolve that it will be here in no time. Of course though, these fierce printed pants can be pared with a cozy sweater and boots until then.

 I was not so much a believer in the Leopard print, but after browsing around through Pinterest, my mind was quickly changed. This bold print can be pretty versatile and always daring. Here's a more laid back look.

Most outfits that feature Leopard print are paired with black or white tops. It does give this print a more 'everyday' vibe, but I did add some contrasting color to make it a bit more special. Try deep emerald two-toned shoes to give a pop of color, and youth to the look with an edgy jacket, like studded denim.  Pull it all together with a bold and trendy ribbon necklace.

Chambray Reinvented

Chambray tops are on the top of my list for top 10 must haves. It may even be number one. To say chambray tops are versatile would be the understatement of the year. Pair them with shorts, capris, jeans or even dress pants. They look perfect over a flirty spring/summer dress and even better when layered in the fall and winter.

Printed pants have been in style for a while now as well as studded flats. I chose darker prints to accommodate the cooler weather and gray, demure studded flats.
